Town of Babylon Board Sets Next Agenda
Tuesday's Babylon Town board meeting tentatively includes street lighting, historical society and Venetian Shores playground funding, a cultural gathering authorization and honoring Eagle Scouts.
The Town of Babylon board is scheduled to meet tomorrow afternoon at at on East Sunrise Highway.
Here’s the tentative agenda the board will discuss July 12, as provided by town officials:
- Accepting town board minutes
- Establishing threshold for the accounting and reporting for intangible assets per GASB 51.
- Authorizing refund of fees.
- Authorizing release of bond.
- Authorizing release of bonds for street excavations.
- Authorizing an increase in the petty cash fund for the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department.
- Authorizing payment to Ellen Sinreich.
- Authorizing light installation.
- Confirming membership to the North Amityville Volunteer Fire Company, Inc.
- Confirming membership to the North Babylon Volunteer Fire Company, Inc.
- Proclaiming Friday, June 17, 2011 as Eagle Scout Joseph Scaduto Day.
- Proclaiming Sunday, July 31, 2011 as Eagle Scout Steven Ryan Carter Morrison Day.
- Ratifying public congregation and use of sound equipment on July 10, 2011 in the Town of Babylon for Our Lady of Grace.
- Ratifying Polish Friends of Copiague/Polonia of LI to host a cultural gathering on July 10, 2011.
- Authorizing Our Lady of The Assumption to hold a carnival, use sound equipment from August 10, 2011 through and including August 14, 2011.
- Authorizing the submission of a grant application by the Town of Babylon with the United States Department of Transportation for an Alternatives Analysis Grant.
- Authorizing the renewal of the intermunicipal agreements with the Village of Babylon and the Village of Lindenhurst for street lighting.
- Authorizing the supervisor to execute an agreement with the Suffolk County Department of Fire, Rescue and Emergency Services (FRES).
- Ratifying the execution of an agreement between the Town of Babylon and the Suffolk County Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation for Venetian Shores Beach Playground funding.
- Ratifying the execution of an agreement between the Town of Babylon and the Suffolk County Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation for Town of Babylon Historical Society funding.
