10 Charged with DWI in Long Beach Over Fourth of July Weekend

Police made 10 arrests for drunk driving between Thursday night and Monday morning.

Ten people were charged with drunk driving over the Fourth of July holiday weekend, according to Long Beach Police.

The arrests took place between Thursday night and Monday morning in Long Beach’s police jurisdiction, cops said.

Three people were arrested per day between Thursday and Sunday, officials said. One other person was charged Monday.

A total of 96 people have been charged with DWI in Long Beach in 2015, according to LBPD.

July 3

  • A Hicksville man, 28 years old, was arrested for DWI with a BAC of .12% by Sgt. Nielsen & PO Rooney
  • A Maspeth woman, 21 years old, was arrested for DWI by Sgt. Nielsen & PO Fales
  • A Holbrook man, 22 years old, was arrested for DWI with a BAC of .08% by Sgt. Nielsen & PO Curtis

July 4

  • An Elmont man, 27 years old, was arrested for DWI by Sgt Nielsen & PO Apple
  • An Atlantic Beach man, 46 years old, was arrested for Felony DWI by Sgt Nielsen & PO Curtis
  • An Island Park man, 32 years old, was arrested for DWI with a BAC of .09% by Sgt Nielsen & PO Garofalo

July 5

  • An Atlantic Beach man, 37 years old, was arrested for DWI with a BAC of .08% by Sgt Nielsen & PO Apple
  • A Westbury man, 25 years old, was arrested for DWI with a BAC of .15% by Sgt Nielsen & PO Martin
  • A Long Beach man, 27 years old, was arrested for DWI with a BAC of .18% by Sgt Nielsen & PO Henck

July 6

  • A Rocky Point man, 32 years old, was arrested for DWI by PO Rooney
