Police ID 2 Drivers Killed In Meadowbrook Pkwy Crash

LIDO BEACH, NY — Two people were killed in a wrong-way crash on the Meadowbrook Parkway Wednesday night, state police said

A 2020 Nissan Rogue was headed in the wrong direction driven by Timothy Peter Reid, 64, of Huntington. Reid struck a 2013 Honda Civic driven by Byron DeJesus Alvizures Cifuentes, 28, of Hempstead, state police said. The drivers were pronounced dead at the scene, state police said.

There were no passengers in either vehicle, state police said.

The crash happened at approximately 11:30 p.m. northbound near Bay Parkway.
