Amid Tropical Storm Watch, Long Beach Residents Urged To Prepare
Nassau County could see heavy rain, gusting wind and storm surge late in the weekend or early next week.

LONG BEACH, NY — With a tropical storm watch in place for the southern portion of Nassau County, Long Beach is one of the vulnerable locations preparing for Henri.
The current forecast calls for minimal winds between 10-20 miles per hour, gusting to 30 miles per hour. However, the alert cautions that the track's uncertainty could lead to winds in the more dangerous 39-57 miles per hour range.
Officials on Long Beach say they are closely monitoring the storm, which remains a tropical storm.
