Annual Irish Festival Returns To Nickerson Beach

The Sept. 18 day-long event is $10 per person.

LIDO BEACH, NY — The Nassau County Ancient Order of Hibernians is back to celebrate its 50th Feis and Irish Festival.

This year's day-long event will honor James Burke.

It's scheduled for Sun., Sept. 18 at Nickerson Beach.

Spectators can take part in Irish step dancing and watch bagpipers as part of the cultural entertainment. Irish vendors will line the beach as well. Other activities will include games for children, an art competition and a raffle.

There's a $10 per person admission, although it's free for children under 16.

It runs from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. with a break at 11 a.m. for Catholic Mass.
