Annual Long Beach Essay/Poster Contest In Memory Of MLK's Birthday
Submissions will be accepted until Jan. 27 from students from grades K-12.

LONG BEACH, NY — In commemorating Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday, Long Beach students are invited to participate in the annual poster/essay contest.
This year's theme is "Living the Dream, It Takes a Team."
Elementary students can enter the poster contest, while middle schoolers have the option of creating a poster or writing an essay. High school students can write an essay up to 500 words, while the younger students should aim for 300 words.

The deadline for submissions is noon on Jan. 27.

Judging will be done based on interpretation of theme, technical skill and originality.
Winners will be announced on Jan. 30 and will get displayed on the city's website, social media, and at the Magnolia Center.
