Another Snowfall Hits the City

Long Beachers found they had more digging and scrapping to do on Friday morning.

Long Beachers awoke Friday morning to find the white stuff fell on their city yet again this winter. While nowhere near as severe as the 16-plus inches and high wind drifts that hit them days after Christmas, and perhaps a few inches shy of the six or more that fell on Jan. 11-12, the snowfall still had city residents digging out, scrapping ice off their windshields and grills and trudging through the streets with their dogs. Tonight’s forecast calls for temperatures between 10 to 15 degrees, while the mercury may have to struggle to get above the mid-20s on both Saturday and Sunday. Another snowstorm is expected for the middle of next week. Get your shovels and blowers ready!
