Cops: Long Beach Man Found with 50 Bags of Heroin
The man was found on National Boulevard early Monday morning with cocaine, heroin, Xanax, and $1,300 in cash, police said.

A Long Beach man faces felony drug charges after he was found with cocaine and dozens of bags of heroin, according to Long Beach Police.
Officers Rocco Walsh and Joseph Wiemann were on National Boulevard early Monday morning when they spotted Carlos Puca, 29, “loitering and acting suspicious,” police said.
While speaking with Puca, who was fidgeting with his pockets, officers saw that he had a bag of cocaine, cops said.

A total of 50 bags of heroin, an undisclosed quantity of cocaine, and a Xanax pill were found on Puca’s person, officials said. He also had $1,300 in cash with him, cops said.
“The use of heroin and other drugs continues to be a rampant problem throughout Long Island that has been destructive to families,” said LBPD Commissioner Michael Tangney. “The diligence of these two police officers furthers our goal of removing all drugs from our community. Combating heroin use, and fully prosecuting any individuals caught supplying heroin to our City, remains a top priority for this Department.”

Puca was arrested and charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell and one count of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
