The end of the workweek is here and you’re looking forward to some R&R this weekend, right? Not so fast, you still have an entire Friday to fill. Here are some activities in Long Beach today that you should know about:
1. Fashion fans can head over to the Allegria Hotel for a Fashion Week Wrap Up Party and check out the clothes showcased during New York City's Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. This preview to spring styles gets started at 9 p.m. and is free.
2. Earth Arts will host a creative Girls Night Out starting at 6 p.m. Relax, chat, create and BYOB! All that you pay is the price of the pottery. They'll be prizes and give-aways. RSVP is recommended.

3. Silk Stockings (1957, NR, 117 mins.) will show at 1:30 p.m. at the Long Beach Library. This movie, starring Fred Astaire and Cyd Charisse, follows a young communist when she travels to Paris to pick up some fellow Russians. In the midst of this trip, she begins to lean towards capitalist ways.
4. After the movie you can return to the library with your children, in grades three and up, and have them sketch and create cartoons in Drawing Club for Kids. This workshop gets started at 4:30 p.m.
