3. This morning, we'll post a feature story on the Long Beach Polar Bears Club. Find out how the club gets thousands of people to jump into the frigid Atlantic each year on Super Bowl Sunday. An estimated 6,000 cold-water enthusiast are expected to take the plunge before the Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers take the field.
4. The Long Beach AARP Chapter meets monthly on the first Friday of the month at the Magnolia Senior Center at 1:30 p.m. Why not stop by and see what they’re all about?
5. Hoops fans can catch the Long Beach High School boys’ basketball team take on Bellmore-JFK at 4:30 at LBHS, while the girls' team will trek to Bellmore to tipoff against Kennedy at 7 p.m.
