Man Wields Gun As Argument In Nassau Escalates: Police

Paul Silvio faces charges that include menacing for the Wednesday evening incident, police said.

ISLAND PARK, NY — An argument between two men escalated in Island Park on Wednesday evening, police said.

One of the men, Paul Silvio, 41, pointed a handgun and threatened the victim, authorities said.

When officers arrived near Saratoga Boulevard and Broadway, Silvio was located and placed under arrest without incident, police said.

No injuries were reported.

Silvio is charged with second-degree menacing, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a firearm, police said.

He is expected to be arraigned on Thursday.
