Hydrant Flushing For 2 Weeks In Long Beach

LONG BEACH, NY — Long Beach residents may experience low water pressure and discoloration during hydrant flushing. It takes place nightly from Nov. 1 - 15.

During flushing, chlorine residuals will be raised to assure safe water quality throughout the distribution system. It poses no threat to your health.

Once the hydrant flushing is complete, the water quality will return to normal.

Expect the flushing to run from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
