ICYMI: Theater Reopens, Welcomes Fans For First Time Since Pandemic

Paula Lewis, the owner of the Long Beach Cinema, wanted to "make it right" before allowing patrons to return.

LONG BEACH, NY — It took 26 months, but Long Beach Cinema held its ribbon cutting on Friday during a grand reopening.

Amid the pandemic, owner Paula Lewis told Patch she was in no rush to get the multiplex operational again.

"There are a lot of moving parts to open," she said.
