Improvements, Upgrades At Long Beach Parking Garage
Police patrols and repainting portions of the facility are among the changes for drivers.

LONG BEACH, NY — Long Beach officials are listening to residents about the city parking garage.
In an effort to improve conditions, plans are in place to replace the parking meters with modernized versions. A free app is also being introduced by the end of March, the city announced.
To address the aesthetics, work is being done to repaint the stairwells and the walkover.

The garage, which is adjacent to the LIRR train station, on Center Street, will have an employee stationed at the facility to ensure a constant presence and cleanliness.
Additionally, garage users will also notice intensified police patrols as they maintain safety, the city said.
