Get the scoop on what's happening each weekday in Long Beach.

As the work week draws to a close, Patch figured we’d let you in on the many events and activities going on in Long Beach Friday and this weekend:

1. Later today, you'll undoubtedly hear kids yelling "Let the summer being!" (or probably something similar, like "School's Out!"). Friday marks the last day of classes at both Long Beach Public Schools and Long Beach Catholic Regional School.

2. The Allegria Hotel will open its new rooftop pool and nightclub for a fundraiser Fashion Show starting at 10 p.m., hosted by Ooh La La, a Long Beach women's boutique. The event has sold out!

Come Sunday, don't miss Kids’ Beach Tennis and Fun Fitness at Edwards Boulevard beach from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Patch personality Stacey Sweet will have an introductory video to this event later today.)
