June 29: Civic Association Meets, Green Hornet at Library, Networking Night

1. The West End Neighbors Civic Association holds its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. at the West End Community Center on Maryland Avenue, next to West School. A representative from EmPower Solar will give a presentation.

2. In the mood for a flick? The Green Hornet is showing at 1:30 p.m. at the Long Beach Public Library.

3. Wednesdays is networking night at the Allegria Hotel at 7 p.m. Make sure to bring your business cards.

4. Reminder: Citywide recycling is every Wednesday, so put your plastic bottles and newspapers curbside this morning.
