LONG BEACH, NY — Bias and hate speech was a topic at the Long Beach Board of Education meeting on March 12.
Dr. Jennifer Gallagher opened her remarks about how the district confronts bias, celebrates diversity and fosters a sense of belonging.
Following her video presentation, Lucy Nash, the president of Long Beach High School's No Place for Hate club, spoke.
