Long Beach HS Names Top Honors For Class Of 2025

The school has selected its valedictorian and salutatorian from among the graduating class.

LONG BEACH, NY — Long Beach High School has named its top two students for the Class of 2025.

Daniel Brenner is the school's valedictorian and LiLin Garfinkel is the salutatorian.

Both students are IB Diploma candidates who contribute to the community. Among Brenner's accomplishments, he is a member of the National Honor Society and vice president of the Tri-M Music Society.

The varsity athlete serves as captain of the school's badminton and bowling teams. Brenner is the mechanical design lead and treasurer of Long Beach Robotics. He also plays saxophone in the school's jazz band.

Garfinkel’s accomplishments include being named a National Merit Commended
Student. She is the vice president of treasury of the National Honor Society and president of
the math team.

Garfinkel is also co-founder and vice president of the school’s Asian American Pacific Islander Culture Club as well as treasurer of the Class Club.

She plays viola and is a member of the Chamber Orchestra and Long Beach High School’s Principal Quartet.

Additionally, Garfinkel volunteers at the Chinese Cultural Association of Long Island, where she assists in teaching Mandarin and traditional Chinese culture to young students.
