Long Beach Names Class Of '23 Valedictorian, Salutatorian
Rio Arengo has been selected as Long Beach High School's top student for its next graduating class.

LONG BEACH, NY — While the new school year is only weeks old, Long Beach High School is not waiting to name its top two students for the Class of 2023.
Rio Arengo is the school's valedictorian, while Aidan Cardo is the salutatorian.
Arengo is a National Merit Commended Student and president of the school's math club. He is also co-chief editor of the school newspaper, The Tide.

Additionally, Arengo is a New York State Scholarship for Academic Excellence recipient.
Cardo, like Arengo, is a candidate for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program. He is a member of the National Honor Society and is a three-sport varsity athlete.
