Long Beach School District Budget Vote: What You Need To Know

Here's what you need to know before casting your ballot for the 2023-2024 school year.

LONG BEACH, NY — Homeowners will head to the polls on Tuesday to decide on the Long Beach school budget for 2023-2024.

The proposed budget is $151,631,248, with a tax levy increase of 1.5%.

A proposition will ask voters if $5.2 million should be taken from the capital reserve to replace and relocate heating pipes. The district also plans to install uni-ventilators.

There are three polling places:

  • The Lindell Elementary School Gymnasium, 601 Lindell Boulevard
  • The East Elementary School Gymnasium, 456 Neptune Boulevard
  • Long Beach Middle School Auditorium, Lido Boulevard in Lido Beach

Two seats are open for the school board.
