The US National Weather Service New York NY has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for our area from Midnight tonight until Noon tomorrow. Forecasts are calling for anywhere between 2-6 inches of snow accumulation. The City’s Department of Public Works is prepared for this and all future Winter storms with more than 1,000 tons of salt and sand on hand an approximately 60 pieces of snow removal equipment that will be deployed once snow begins to accumulate.

Residents are asked to stay off the roads during the storm, if possible. If the situation warrants, the City Manager may declare a Snow Emergency, which would prohibit parking on designated Snow Emergency roadways.
