March 8: School Board Meeting and Mardi Gras and PJ Parties

Here are the top five things you need to know for Tuesday:

1. Long Beach School District will unveil its 2011-12 budget at the Board of Education meeting starting at 7:30 p.m. at Long Beach Middle School. The pending capital project at the Lido Complex is also on the agenda.

2. As Mardi Gras comes to a close the Saint James of Jerusalem Episcopal Church on West Penn Street will host a Mardi Gras family party at 6:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall.

3. East Elementary School will host a pajama party for students in kindergarten through second grade from 6:30 pm. to 7:30 p.m.

4. Adult education classes give local residents a chance to take an affordable class on a subject they are interested in learning about. Long Beach School District will hold registration for adult education classes at Long Beach Middle School from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
