May 13: Driver's Course Registration, Drawing Club, Answer Questions

1. A Drawing Club for children in grades two and up will be held at the Long Beach Library on Fridays through May and June. The class begins today at 4:30 p.m.

2. Registration for a AARP driving course for June 6 will be held at the library today from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

3. The American Cancer Society's Relay for Life will hold their annual walk to raise money to fight cancer at the Long Beach Middle School on May 14 from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m.

4. Hofstra men’s lacrosse senior defenseman Mike Skudin, a Long Beach High School graduate, will appear with his team on national television when they battle Johns Hopkins in the first round of the NCAA Tournament at 12 p.m. Saturday on ESPN. Skudin was named Colonial Athletic Association Men’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Year after leading Hofstra’s defense with 26 ground balls and tying for the team lead with 16 caused turnovers.
