May 23: Golf Classic, LBHS Band Concert, Autism Fundraiser

It’s Monday and that means Patch returns with five things you need to know each weekday. What’s the buzz around town? We’ll keep you informed on everything from important meetings to high school playoff games to fundraisers around town to Patch stories you may have missed. Here’s what’s happing today:

1. The Long Beach Lions Club will hold their annual Golf Classic, starting with registration at 10:30 a.m., at the Inwood Country Club, on Peppe Drive in Inwood. All proceeds from this outing benefit the Guide Dog Foundation and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

2. The Long Beach High School will hold a Band Concert 7:30 p.m. at the school.

3. The Stephanie Joyce Kahn Foundation will hold a fundraiser called "Spring into Action for Autism" at 6:30 p.m. at Lola's restaurant on West Park Avenue.
