May 4: Blogging on Patch, Library Budget Hearing, Karaoke Night

1. Patch rolls out Long Beach-related blogs throughout the day. The blogs will be written by (mostly) locals and appear at the bottom of the home page. Later on Patch, we'll post a feature story on a woman who writes a blog about her experiences as a Long Beach resident.

2. The Long Beach Public Library will hold a budget hearing at 7:30 p.m. at the library on West Park Avenue. Coming up, we'll also have a story on the library's proposed 2011-12 budget.

3. The library will host a Long Beach Art League meeting at 7:30 p.m.

4. The Inn on West Beech Street features karaoke every Wednesday night. It's a great excuse to have some fun with your friends in the middle of the week.

5. In case you missed it yesterday, Patch posted a video of the Waterfront Warriors' annual fundraiser at Lola's restaurant, a story about city residents who took to the streets to wave or post American flags around town in the wake of the news that U.S. Forces killed Osama bin Laden, and a feature on the Long Beach badminton team that is dominating its competition.
