ATLANTIC BEACH, NY — A fire took place on Memorial Day at The Sands Beach Club, Nassau police said.

The Long Beach Fire Department extinguished the Atlantic Beach blaze at 6 p.m.

Smoke was seen coming out of the laundry room.

No one was injured. The building sustained minor damage, police said.

The fire is being investigated but is not considered suspicious, police said.
