America turned 236 on Wednesday and the hot, sunny weather helped send many people to celebrate her birthday at the beach and boardwalk in Long Beach. Patch photographers were there during late afternoon and early evening, taking shots of Independence Day scenes east of the Allegria Hotel at National Boulevard to Pacific Boulevard beach for this week's Viewfinder gallery of photos.
