PSEG Prepares Again As Storm Could Bring Gusts Over 60 MPH To LI
Heavy rain is also in the forecast for Tuesday into Wednesday.
UNIONDALE, NY — Another bout of winter is in the forecast for Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. This is expected to be a wind and rain event. With some areas expecting at least two inches of rain and wind gusts over 60 miles per hour, PSEG Long Island said the ingredients are there for potential outages.
Wind can topple tree branches and bring down wires, leading to loss of electricity for customers.
PSEG Long Island has personnel ready to handle the storm. An additional 350 off-Island utility workers are being brought in to assist.
