Scenes in the City: Snowy Sands-sation!
Long Beach Patch got up early on Wednesday morning to get some shots of the snow.
A woman and children take a stroll on the beach’s snowy sands. Long Island Rail Road commuters head to work while MTA workers clear the platforms. Pigeons hang out on the boardwalk. These are just some of the many scenes Long Beach Patch got up early to capture after the snowstorm that started Tuesday night. According to weather.com, approximately 6.2 inches of snow fell on Long Beach, and today's daytime weather is predicted to be in the mid-30s and partly cloudy, with possible snow showers tonight.
If you have some snow photos that you would like to contribute to this Lens on Long Beach photo column, you can either post them (with captions) yourself, or you can email them to us and we’ll get them up on the site: josephk@patch.com. Photos must be posted or sent with the photographer's permission.
