3 Arrested After Robbing Taxi Driver In Nassau: Police
A man and two juveniles got into a fight with a taxi driver and stole money after a ride, police say.

WEST HEMPSTEAD, NY — A man and two teenage boys were arrested in connection with robbing a taxi driver on Friday night in West Hempstead, Nassau police said.
A 21-year-old male taxi driver was driving three males near June Place and Theresa Avenue around 9 p.m. Friday, police said. When the taxi arrived at the location, the three occupants got into a fight with the driver and nabbed money from the center console of the taxi driver's vehicle, police said. The trio ran away, police said.
Chance Richardson, 19, of Valley Stream, and two male teenagers, ages 16 and 17, were found a short time later and arrested without incident, police said.

All three defendants were charged with second-degree robbery. Richardson was also charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
Richardson had been scheduled to be arraigned on Saturday at First District Court, at 99 Main St., Hempstead. The two juveniles had also been scheduled to be arraigned on Saturday in the Youth Section of First District Court.
