3 Arrested For Stealing Car In Nassau: Police

It happened Monday afternoon on Woodfield Road police said

WEST HEMPSTEAD, NY — Three men were arrested for stealing a car on Monday in West Hempstead, police said.

Officers spotted a black 2017 Honda heading northbound on Woodfield Road on Monday afternoon making an unsafe lane change, police said.

During the investigation, it was determined the vehicle was stolen.

The driver, Brailyn Jaquez Perez, 23, of Nassau County, was arrested without incident, police said. Passengers, Luis Joel Batlle Espinosa, 19, and Adamarie Burgos, 20, both of the Bronx, were also arrested, authorities said.

They were all charged with third-degree criminal possession of stolen property and third-degree unauthorized use of a vehicle. Jaquez Perez is also charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, police said.

They were scheduled to be will be arraigned on Tuesday.
