4 Rescued After Boat Overturns In Long Island Sound
Four people were rescued from the water, and the overturned boat was brought to shore, police say.
LONG ISLAND, NY â Four people were rescued after their boat overturned Sunday in the Long Island Sound, Nassau police said.
A sailboat overturned, and four people were stuck in the water, around 1 p.m. Marine 7 of the Nassau County Police Department Marine Bureau Unit and the Westchester Police Department rescued the boaters from the water, police said. The sailboat was towed to shore by the Town of North Hempstead Bay Constable. FDNY Marine Bureau was also on the scene.
There were no injuries reported, police said.
