Cat Needs Police Help After Getting Stuck In Franklin Square Fence

Officers had to cut the metal fence to dislodge the cat from the obstacle.

FRANKLIN SQUARE, NY — There were tense moments for a cat in Franklin Square. The feline got dislodged in a fence on Thursday afternoon, requiring help from police.

Officers were called to Floral Park Road in Franklin Square where the cat's head was stuck in the metal fence.

Using bolt cutters from the nearby Carey High School custodial staff, the officers delicately cut the fence. The feline was rescued without injury, police said.
