Cops: Man Shot in Lakeview
The victim is recovering after being shot in the buttocks and groin area, police said.

A man is recovering after being shot in the groin and buttocks during an armed robbery attempt in Lakeview early Sunday, according to Nassau County Police.
At 2:23 a.m., the 25-year-old victim got out of his car on Tyler Avenue near Ronkonkoma Avenue when an unknown man approached him, police said. The man pointed a gun at the victim and demanded cash, cops said.
As the victim got back into his car and fled, the man fired his gun and struck the victim in the buttocks, left thigh, and groin area, police said.

The victim called the police, who brought him to a nearby hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries, cops said.
The subject was described as a black man with dark skin, poor complexion, 5-foot-9, 180 pounds, average to muscular build, and was between 20 and 30 years old, officials said. He was wearing a black do-rag, had corn rows on the back of his head, and was wearing a white v-neck t-shirt with white sneakers, police said.
