Photos Released Of LIRR Shooting Suspect As Search Intensifies: MTA

LYNBROOK, NY — MTA Police are actively searching for the man who fired a shot at the Lynbrook Long Island Rail Road station over the weekend, hitting a teen.

The MTA released two photos of the suspect at the train station. One shows him from the front, all dressed in black, including a hat, while the other photo is taken from behind.

On Saturday, at 7:55 p.m., the MTA said that the man intentionally shot a 17-year-old boy on Platform B. The victim was struck in the torso, MTA police said.

He is in stable condition at Franklin Hospital.

Two 9mm shell casings were found at the Lynbrook station, the MTA said. The shooting did not impact train service on Saturday evening.
