Barricaded Subject in 4-Hour Standoff With Officers In Nassau: Police
It started Monday night at around 4:45 p.m., and the person was later taken to a local hospital, Nassau police say.
EAST ROCKAWAY, NY — A person barricaded themself at an East Rockaway location, resulting in a four-hour standoff with officers on Monday night, Nassau police said.
Officers, including some from specialized units like Emergency Services, were called to Scranton Avenue at around 4:45 p.m., a spokesman said Tuesday.
The person was later taken to a local hospital after experiencing a mental health crisis, according to police.
