Driver Crashes into Massapequa Store

A man was hospitalized after having a seizure at the wheel and crashing his car into a Massapequa store Wednesday, according to Nassau County Police.

At 7:05 p.m., the 53-year-old man was driving west on Sunrise Highway in a 2003 Ford Excursion when he suffered a seizure, cops said.

The car crashed into Dinette Plus, located at 4140 Sunrise Highway, and damaged the storefront, cops said. One employee was inside the store at the time of the accident.

The driver of the car was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, cops said.

Police did not report any other injuries.
