Oyster Bay Town Hosts Free Waterfront Festival

The Sept. 7 event also features an outdoor concert, also at no charge.

MASSAPEQUA, NY — Residents are invited to soak in the sun during the annual Waterfront Festival next month at the Tobay Beach Marina.

An outdoor concert is also part of the Sunday, Sept. 7 festivities.

The family-fun day will feature marine and outdoor exhibits, a children's snapper derby and police boat demonstrations.

The Captain Cool Band will close out the festival with a performance of yacht rock favorites from the 1970s and 1980s. All activities are free to the public.

"[It] provides a great opportunity to introduce children to recreational sport of fishing, as all equipment will be provided along with professional assistance and guidance," Supervisor Joseph Saladino said.
