
A thief swiped a pocketbook from a woman who was playing with her child at the Sunrise Mall, Nassau County police said.
The theft took place last Saturday at 3:06 p.m. according to cops. A 27-year-old woman left her pocketbook in a stroller in the mall's play area, and when she came back, the purse was gone.
She lost cash, a Nintendo DS and other items, police said. The victim did not see the thief.
