MASSAPEQUA, NY — Fans of doughnuts and coffee have something to celebrate this week, as Vice Doughnuts announced that it is opening its new storefront this week.
The brick-and-mortar store, located at 917 N Broadway in Massapequa, is the evolution of the Vice Doughnuts brand. Owners Gina and Joe O'Brien are parking the truck and offering fresh doughnuts and coffee all day long at the new location.
The soft opening is scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 11.

Until now, Vice Doughnuts operated as a food truck at a different location each day. They would post their location for the day online, and sell donuts and coffee there until they run out.
Now, with a permanent location, the O'Briens will be able to sell their trademark vegan and gluten-free doughnuts all day long, as well as expand their offerings. In addition to the donuts, Vice will have a full espresso bar with coffee from Port Jefferson's Southdown Coffee.

The new storefront takes some inspiration from the truck. There is no sit-down dining. Instead, everything will be done through a take-out window. O'Brien said they got the idea from places like Ralph's Italian Ices.
The O'Briens are not completely retiring their truck, though. They still plan to use it to cater special events, like parties, weddings and festivals.
