14-Year-Old Killed Walking On Highway In Hudson Valley
The teen was struck by a truck on Route 9 in Columbia County.
CLERMONT, NY — A 14-year-old walking on Route 9 in Columbia County was struck and killed by a truck Friday morning.
The New York State Police said the incident happened near County Route 8 in the town of Clermont around 4:50 a.m. Friday.
Authorities said a northbound 2007 Ford F550 truck struck the teenager who was walking in the roadway.

The 14-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene by Northern Dutchess Paramedics.
Police said the investigation is ongoing.
