19-Year-Old Monroe Man Accused Of Raping Minor
Law enforcement said an investigation was launched into sexual assaults of a minor that had occurred over several years.

MONROE, NY — A 19-year-old Monroe man was accused of raping a minor over several years.
The New York State Police said Jon Pelcin, 19, of Monroe, was charged Tuesday with first-degree rape, a felony, and second-degree unlawful imprisonment and endangering the welfare of a child, misdemeanors.
On Sept. 2, the Village of Monroe Police Department started an investigation into sexual assaults of a minor that had occurred over several years.

On Nov. 18, the state police in Monroe were asked to assist with the investigation. They found the sexual assaults happened in various locations throughout the Hudson Valley and New Jersey, police said.
Pelcin was arrested Tuesday in Monroe.

He was arraigned in the City of Middletown Court and sent to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bail or $45,000 bond.
The arrest was a multi-jurisdictional investigation involving the Village of Monroe Police Department, New York State Police Monroe Bureau of Criminal Investigation, Orange County Child Advocacy Center, Orange County District Attorney’s Office, the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office of New Jersey and the Long Beach Police Department in New Jersey.
