2 Men Attempt Kingston Home Break-In, Flee Scene, Hit Parked Car When Cops Arrive: PD
The suspects tried to flee and their getaway vehicle struck a parked car, according to police.

KINGSTON, NY — Two area men are accused of trying to break into an occupied residence on Clinton Avenue Monday.
Police said they were summoned to Clinton Avenue around 6 p.m. Monday on a report of two burglars.
When they arrived, police found two men in a vehicle.

Orion McLeod, also known as Odie Ector, 53, of Kingston, was driving, while Vincent Girard, 42, of Saugerties, was in the passenger seat, according to police.
Police said McLeod drove the vehicle in reverse “in a reckless fashion” in an attempt to flee, then struck and damaged a parked vehicle on Clinton Avenue. Police said he then attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended. His New York license to drive is suspended and revoked, according to police. He is also accused of damaging the residence as he attempted to enter it, police said, in a Facebook post.

Both men had illegal substances in their possession, according to police, who did not identify the type of drugs.
McLeod was charged with second-degree attempted burglary, fourth-degree criminal mischief, driving while ability impaired by drugs or alcohol, unlicensed operator, circumventing an interlock device, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree obstructing governmental administration, and resisting arrest.
McLeod was treated at an area hospital for minor injuries, police said.
Girard faces two counts, including third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and second-degree obstructing governmental administration.
Both men were held overnight Monday for arraignment Tuesday in Kingston City Court. They were later remanded to Ulster County Jail without bail, police said.
