$50,000 Powerball Winning Ticket Sold In Hudson Valley
To win the money, the ticket had to match four numbers plus the Powerball.
FISHKILL, NY — There were two third-prize winning Powerball tickets sold for the Aug. 31 drawing, one of which was in the Hudson Valley.
The New York Lottery said the two tickets, both worth $50,000, were purchased at Smokes 4 Less in Fishkill and Laxmi Cards and Gifts in Farmingdale.
To win the third prize, the tickets each have four matching numbers plus the Powerball.

Winning numbers for the Aug. 31 Powerball drawing are 07-08-19-24-28, with a Powerball of 1, lottery officials said.
The numbers for Powerball are drawn from a field of one to 69. The Powerball number is drawn from a separate field of one to 26.

The Powerball drawing is held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 11 p.m.
Saturday's jackpot for the drawing is an estimated $148 million.
