7th Graders Accused Of Sending Threat To School Via AirDrop
This was the second threat to Goshen school district schools in the past few days.

GOSHEN, NY — Two Goshen seventh graders were accused of sending a threat via AirDrop during a school dance Friday.
School officials said the threat was received by a C.J. Hooker Middle School student who reported it, News 12 said, after which the police were alerted and the building was evacuated.
The two students are each charged with felony first-degree falsely reporting an incident.

In a letter to the community, Superintendent Dr. Kurtis Kotes said district officials are reviewing how any future AirDrop threats can be avoided.
“We implore our parents and guardians’ partnership in this cause, and have provided resources … that may be used to adjust the settings on your child’s cell phone,” he said.

The school district had another threat via AirDrop Thursday which was directed at Goshen High School, News 12 reported. It was found to be a hoax.
Kotes said the damage the threats caused is undeniable.
“Our students and employees deserve to feel safe while on school grounds,” he said, “and a threat to their safety, even when unfounded, is something that district officials and local police take very seriously.”
