August 2022 Primary Voter Guide: Mid-Hudson Valley Polls Open Tuesday
Besides a few congressional primaries, there is a special election to fill the vacancy in Congressional District 19.

MID-HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Early voting in the Aug. 23 primary ended Sunday. Now, registered voters in the mid-Hudson Valley who haven't already cast their ballots in New York can still make it to the polls Tuesday to decide a special election and five congressional primaries.
Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday.

The races on the ballot, depending on where you live, include a special election for Congressional District 19 to fill the vacancy that occurred when Rep. Antonio Delgado became lieutenant governor. Pat Ryan will appear on the Democratic and Working Families lines and Marcus Molinaro will appear on the Republican and Conservative lines. The winner will serve in Congress until the end of the year. Anyone who is registered to vote in the current 19th Congressional District can vote in this special election.

- The Democratic primary for Congressional District 17 will be between Alessandra Biaggi and Sean Patrick Maloney.
- The Republican primary for Congressional District 17 will be between Charles J. Falciglia, Michael V. Lawler, Jack W. Schrepel, Shoshana M. David and William G. Faulkner.
- The Conservative primary for Congressional District 17 will be between William G. Faulkner and Michael V. Lawler.
- The Democratic primary for Congressional District 18 will be between Pat Ryan, Moses Mugulusi and Aisha Mills.
- The Democratic primary for Congressional District 19 is between Jamie Cheney and Josh Riley.
