Columbia County Man Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Child

Police said he faces two felonies charges.

CLAVERACK, NY — A Columbia County man was accused of sexually assaulting a child.

The New York State Police, in conjunction with the Columbia County Child Advocacy Center, arrested Gregory Brusso, 66, of Claverack, on Feb. 19 and charged him with predatory sexual assault against a child and first-degree criminal sexual act, felonies.

Police said, after receiving a law enforcement tip, an investigation determined Brusso sexually assaulted a child under the age of 13.

He was arraigned in the Town of Claverack Court and sent to the Columbia County Jail without bail.
