Cyber Tip Leads To Child Exploitation Charges Against Red Hook Man: Police
The man is also accused of trying to destroy evidence, according to state police.
RED HOOK, NY — A local man is accused of possessing images of child sexual exploitation, according to state police.
Norman A. Lopez Lorenzo, 36, was arrested Monday and charged with multiple counts of possession of an obscene sexual performance by a child, third-degree obscenity, and tampering with physical evidence.
Police said Lopez Lorenzo tried to destroy evidence while officers were conducting an investigation at his home.

Police launched the investigation after they received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, state police said.
Lopez Lorenzo was arraigned at the Red Hook Town Court, then released under the supervision of the Dutchess County Probation Department.
