DOT Closing Rest Areas For Paving In Dutchess County

Motorists are advised to plan their trips accordingly.

EAST FISHKILL, NY — Rest areas in the mid-Hudson Valley are scheduled to be closed to vehicles for paving.

The state Department of Transportation said that the Interstate 84 (Stormville) rest area in East Fishkill will be closed to all vehicles at the following times:

  • Westbound rest area will be closed between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27
  • Eastbound rest area will be closed between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28

Drivers are urged to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
