Driver Who Hit Flagger With Car At Roadwork Site Is Arrested: NYSP
State police later located the driver at her home in the Town of Wappinger, where she was taken into custody.

WAPPINGER, NY — A Dutchess County driver learned a lesson the hard way about giving construction workers "a brake," according to police.
On Wednesday, just after 9 a.m., state police from the Wappinger barracks responded to Route 9D in Beacon for a report of a flag person struck by a vehicle.
Investigators say the flagger was directing traffic in a construction zone when a vehicle bypassed two cars stopped at a temporary traffic signal. Despite repeated verbal commands from the flagger to stop, police say the driver, later identified as 33-year-old Rrezarta Bajramaj, continued driving southbound toward the flagger.

State police later found Bajramaj at her home in the Town of Wappinger, where she was taken into custody. She was charged with reckless endangerment and issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Fishkill Court on Oct. 27.
